With the first round of PS5 game trailers now out in the wild many of the games shown look fantastic. Horizon Forbidden West is no exception, following Aloy's story as she moves west to a dangerous frontier full of mysterious threats and awe-inspiring machines, while prompting questions about a potential PC release date.
Given how the original is currently available on Steam after its own period of PlayStation 4 exclusivity, it's not unreasonable for us to wonder about whether we'll hear about a Horizon Forbidden West PC release date at some point in the future.
Horizon Forbidden West PC Release Date
Sony is currently looking for more ways into the PC market, and so far has launched its version of Microsoft's PC Game Pass in the form of PlayStation Now along with releasing games onto the Steam store.
We have high hopes they'll continue with this business model, but they could also follow Microsoft even further and open their own PC store, cluttering our drives with yet another launcher. Either way, it seems clear that Sony are investing more and more into cross-platform availability.
- Horizon Forbidden West PC release date: TBA
That being said, there is currently no word on when a potential Horizon Forbidden West PC release date might occur.
Sony has largely stuck to bringing older exclusives to PC thus far, although Returnal making its way to us might suggest a slight change in approach.
Hopefully, this means that it won't be long before we'll get to play Horizon's acclaimed sequel without having to purchase a console.
Aside from a sprawling world to explore, Horizon Forbidden West brings some notable graphical improvements that are as close to next-gen as it got at the time of its launch.
For more on PlayStation titles that could and should come to PC, here's what we know about whether or not we can expect God of War Ragnarok and the Demon's Souls remake to make the jump soon.
